Office Manager, “Chameleon,” & Artist

We interviewed our office manager, Renee, about her professional and personal life. We want to give you an inside look of who you are working with when you choose to do business with Western Pacific Insurance. Here are some of the highlights from the interview:

How long have you been working for Western Pacific Insurance (WPI)?

“I have been working at WPI for going on 9 years.”

What is the title of your job and what does it entail?

“The title of my job is the office manager and it entails a little bit of everything. I’m sort of the chameleon here. I do all sorts of tasks from quotes, to distributing workloads, and reports.”

What do you like most about working at WPI?

“What I like most about working with WPI is the bosses of course, they’re super great and family oriented. And the co-workers- I love everybody that I work with. It’s more like family not work.”

What is the biggest lesson you have learned in your career so far?

“One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in my career is learning to adapt to change and embrace it.”

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that people may not know.

“A fun fact about me that people may not know about is that I enjoy drawing.”

What are your top three life highlights?

“My top three life highlights are marrying my best friend, when I became a parent, and when my husband and I purchased our first home.”

Name one material thing you couldn’t live without.

“The one material thing I cannot live without is a refrigerator.”

Which one would you want most – flying cars, robot housekeepers, or moon cities?

“One of the things that I would like most is a robot housekeeper.”

What cartoon character would you most like to switch lives with?

“The cartoon character that I would most like to switch lives with is Patrick Starfish because he is care-free, eats hamburgers all day long, and can eat a whole bunch of ice cream and not gain any weight.”

What chore do you absolutely hate doing?

“The chore that I absolutely hate doing is a tie between dishes and laundry because it’s never ending.”

What was your first job?

“My first job was a chef at Little Caesars.”
