Our Story
Our insurance brokerage was founded by Wayne Edington, an Oceanside, CA native who currently resides in Las Vegas, NV. Being born in Oceanside and raised there by his great-aunt (he knew her as Mom), Wayne had humble beginnings. His home was on 930 Tait Street and before there was much development, he had a view of the ocean from his great-aunt’s 804 sqft home.
Wayne had and still has a love for surfing and being on the beach. If you want a good long break, just ask him about stories from the beach, like when he was being tracked by a killer whale or when he got caught laying on a towel next to a girl at a beach party and his mom dragged him off the beach by the ear.
Wayne came to Las Vegas in the ’70s when it still was a relatively small city to live in, having been promoted to expand a deli/mini-mart franchise here. He’s been a great contributor to the local community through many volunteer leadership positions at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Scouts, and raising a family of seven children with his wife, Susan.
Established and Growing
Having had much experience in running businesses and owning businesses, and much experience in investment advising, Wayne had the opportunity to partner in starting a new insurance agency in 2003, Western Pacific Insurance.
Within a few short years, Wayne had bought out his partners and, over the next decade, would grow his agency to over 10,000 active clients. In 2016, his sons, Tom and Jim, were hired on by Wayne with a plan to take over the family business at the end of 2018 and to build on the strong organization Wayne had created.

We extend solutions to clients of Las Vegas, NV and the surrounding area. We are also licensed to serve Nevada statewide along with California, Arizona, and Utah.
