Eating out can be tricky when you have young kids or picky teenagers and are trying to please everyone in the family. That’s why we’ve compiled a list of 10 yummy restaurants that the whole family can enjoy! You’ll find some of these restaurants right on the Strip for the times you’re up for a bigger adventure. Others you’ll find in more suburban areas for when you want a more casual dining experience.
- Shake Shack. There are 6 locations of this restaurant in the Las Vegas area. One of them is right next to The Park Las Vegas on the Strip if you’re feeling touristy. This restaurant has a fun atmosphere, and kids will have no trouble finding something they like with menu options such as burgers, fries, hotdogs, and fried chicken.
- Rainforest Cafe. What your children will probably like most about this restaurant is the environment. Talking, moving animals and a jungle storm are just a couple of the experiences you’ll have dining here. Kids menus are available.
- Nacho Daddy. This restaurant was started in Las Vegas in 2010 and has been featured on several TV shows, including The Food Network and Tanked. The menu is implied in the name (nachos!!), but there are also other options besides nachos. What kid wouldn’t be happy with a plate of nachos though?
- Sugar Factory. Here you will find bright, colorful foods with playful decor. Their main Las Vegas location is at Fashion Show, so it would be easy to make a night out of it and walk around the mall too. If you’re into trying creative foods, like a white chocolate hamburger bun, this would be a fun option for your family. Sugar Factory’s “insane milkshakes” are so decadently decorated that you may not even want to eat them and mess up the piece of art. You’ll probably get over that really quick though.
- Gameworks. Does your family like arcade games? Here you can play arcade games and order yummy food with the family. Check out their website to scope out deals, such as half-off games on Mondays.
- Juan’s Flaming Fajitas. Your kids will be in awe when their fajita plate gets delivered, complete with a flame. You can share a couple of fajita platters with the whole family, or a kid’s menu is available with lots of options. This is some of the best Mexican food Vegas has to offer! There is a location in Vegas and in Henderson.
- Red Robin. This is a fun one for kid’s birthdays. They’ll get a happy birthday song and a free sundae. Plus, anytime your kids go, they can always head out with a balloon. Unlimited fries will leave your kids happy and definitely not complaining. Red Robin isn’t unique to Vegas and has lots of locations nationwide, but it is definitely a family-friendly restaurant.
- Secret Pizza. If you’re looking for an adventure, Secret Pizza is your place. It is located on the third level of the Cosmopolitan hotel, but there is no signage leading to the exact spot- you have to find it! Hint: there is a hallway filled with records that’ll get you to the restaurant. Your family can enjoy finding the restaurant and grabbing some pizza on the go!
- Cafe Rio. This restaurant is also not unique to Vegas, but it’s great for a casual meal on a weekday. Younger kids can get a free small quesadilla. You’ll see lots of families dining here, so there is no need to worry about bringing kids to this restaurant. Their portions are very filling, and you can also do curbside pick-up at most locations.
- Black Bear Diner. Your kids will become known as “cubs” when they enter this diner. You can do breakfast, lunch, or dinner here, all with great comfort food options.
- BONUS DESSERT: Nielsen’s Frozen Custard. Your family will enjoy this fun, retro-style ice cream shop. Perfect for a family outing or to top off a great night together. The custard here is very creamy, very soft, very thick…need we say more?!
